Posted March 03, 2018 06:25:16A man has been given a new life after being found guilty of throwing a baby off a dock.
A jury found Kevin Brown had no reason to suspect the toddler was in imminent danger.
The toddler, who was born in February, was discovered by a passer-by and brought to a hospital by ambulance.
The court heard he had a severe head injury and was taken to a specialist in New South Wales for further assessment.
Brown was charged with grievous bodily harm, child cruelty and recklessly endangering a child.
The jury was told he had been living with his mother, sister and two younger siblings in his mother’s Sydney apartment for several months.
