The Pokémon brand has gone global, with Nintendo announcing that the company has teamed up with the Japanese company to create a new version of the game for the Nintendo Switch.
The game is tentatively titled “Sleepytime”.
“Sleepy Time is a new entry in our popular sleep series.
We’re thrilled to be working with Nintendo to create an exclusive version of this series that will be exclusive to the Nintendo Nintendo Switch,” said Pokémon creator Satoshi Tajiri in a statement.
The game will be available in the United States and Canada at launch.
It will also launch on Android and iOS devices in the coming weeks.
It’s likely that the Nintendo platform will support more languages, such as Japanese, as the company continues to expand its global footprint.
The Pokémon brand is currently the most successful franchise of all time, and its success has led to more than $US100 billion in global sales.
Its success has also seen Pokémon Go launch onto the Nintendo 3DS, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
